TRUCKING ACCIDENTS
Most of the accidents associated with Tractor-Trailers and trucks are extremely hard to maneuver, slow to stop due to the weight, and have large blind spots, making it hard to change lanes and turn. These negligences are no fault of our clients; we fight to provide representation to maximize their compensation and the rightful settlements they deserve!
Brake Failure
When brakes fail while the truck is in motion, the driver may not be able to stop in time to prevent an accident. Daily vehicle inspections as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act to prevent accidents.
Rear End Collision
These accidents are dangerous, especially when the truck weigh more than vehicle that is impacted by the collision.
JackKnife
Occurs when a truck driver brakes quickly, which causes the trailer to swing outward. The angle of the truck and cab during accident is similar to a jackkife
T-Bone Tractor Trailer
T-bone accidents can happen when a tractor-trailer strikes the side of a car or when a car strikes the side of a tractor-trailer. These often times result in fatal injuries and even death.
Truck Rollover
Truck driver looses control and the truck starts sliding sideways, resulting in a roll over accident. This is preventable when truck drivers eliminate distracted driving, speeding, reckless driving, and under the influence driving.
Underride Truck
When truck drivers suddenly hit the brakes this causes a smaller vehicle to go right under the truck’s rear trailer. This is extremely dangerous because the top of your car does not have the strength to endure the force applied.
Lost Loads
Cargo that is not secured on a truck is at high risk of falling and obstructing the roadway. It increases the possibility that the cargo will effect the vehicle’s balance causing the driver to make turns or negotiate curves.
Tire Blowout
This type of accident often causes significant damage because the driver does not have control over the truck. This leads to a massive crushing impact resulting in fatal injuries.
Wide Load Tractor Trailer
When trucks do not properly turn according to CDL manual it comes with serious consequences for the smaller vehicle. This can result in drivers to becoming trapped on the truck’s right, between the truck and curb.
